PROGRAMME
GENERAL INFORMATION
Climate change, the orientation of the EU strategies of the Green Deal, Farm to Fork and Biodiversity, the greater awareness of civil society on a rational use of natural resources, induce companies and political decision-makers to focus on the impact assessment of the strategies adopted. Particular attention is placed on the use of ecosystem approaches in the agri-food system to ensure the conservation of natural resources, human well-being and economic prosperity.
To this end, SIDEA, with the support of the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL) of the University of Bologna, proposes a Winter School which will provide PhD, researchers and professionals with the knowledge and skills required to evaluate the role of ecosystem services and the impact of agri-environmental policies, along with the tools for adapting to the new societal needs in the face of the ongoing ecological transition.
Lectures will examine different empirical modeling approaches, enabling participants to deepen their basic methodological knowledge, improve understanding of complementary methods, and gain insights into new analysis and evaluation tools.
